Lets start with a pair of pliers... 5 gallon clean bucket....allen wrench metric set hand set....

a T20 metric star socket allen ...   sockets 8mm.....10mm....13mm ........................either a

socket wrench or battery powered socket wrench ......

Very simple to remove and replace a TIM assembly.   Less then 2 hours to do

I remove one in 15 minutes and replace with another in 30 minutes

Traction Inverter Removal and Replacement

First things first ...   Disconnect the 12v aux. battery ...at least 2 hours before removing the TIM module ...........................

using a t20 star socket wrench remove the cover holding plate .....then holding the cables in place is 5 bolts 2 are 8mm..... 2 are 10mm and the center one is 13mm......................

all that is left is to just grab tim push forward lower the rear end and pull it out .....

To replace with a good one just reverse the instructions ....

I like using a 5 gallon bucket to catch the antifreeze so i can just put it back in once the new tim is in place ....

I use some cheap clamps to crimp off the hoses to slow down the draining of antifreeze just pull the clips down off hose ends and pull the hoses off and let drain ....

Then in the above pic remove the little screw rings and slip them off cables and remove them...

Should take less then 2 hours to remove and replace the unit even the first time you do it ...

once the replacement is back in remember to pour the antifreeze back into the radiator and holding tank and you are ready to drive again .......

Next remove 2 Rear bolts going into frame and 2 front bolts straight up through frame do not push forward yet on tim it is now hanging from 2 holding clips at rear of tim ....   remove the strap bolt a 8mm socket is needed

on the drivers side there is 2 connectors the allen bolt in the middle you just unscrew it and pull the connector straight out
